DIY Chalk Paint, Not Chalkboard!

So I have been dying to paint my daughters dresser and some other things. But I finally did the dresser...for the most part. I had to put a few nails in it first.

Anyways, its made out of that crappy laminent fake wood that just completely falls apart and is a waste of money! So after a few nails and hammering a few spots back into place, it was ready.

This is the paint I used. The color is called "fern gully", yes like the movie.
Youre going to want to take:
1 cup of paint
1/2 cup baking soda
3tbs of water

MIX MIX MIX MIX

And then its ready.

PAINT PAINT PAINT PAINT

And this is my result after about two coats...

You can still see streaks but thats what I s going for. And forgive the missing drawer, thats the one that fell apart.
It does dry fast!
Also, beware, because it will scratch off easily!
Now all I have to do is buy a top coat. No, I am not using a wax. Im simplifying it!
And then it should be all finished!

I was a little skeptical about the baking soda, but it turned out great!

Fast, Simple Smokey Eye

These are the products used today!
Revlon Nearly naked Foundation
I mixed both shades to get my color!
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner
Nyx La Amoureux Mascara
Urban Decay Naked Pallet
Also, I used NYC Bronzer but I forgot to put it in ooooops..

So for the eyes I just applied Sin from the naked pallet and put it all over my eyelid and in my inner corners to highlight.

Then i drew a thin line of the eyeliner on my lid, and just smudged it until it looked smokey.
Applied mascara AND DONE! Super easy and quick!

Outfit and Makeup Of The Day :)

Hello Everyone!
So today when I woke up, at 6am... it was chilly and cloudy out, and there was even a bit of rain.
So me thinking that it was going to stay chilly out, yeah right, I put on pants and a sheer long sleeve shirt.  Now, at 10am, the sun is making it's appearance. Whatever, I am going to continue to wear my "cold" clothes. Haha.

I just have on old navy skinny jeans. The stretchy ones that are soooo comfortable. Any body type can get away with wearing these things. They kinda just suck everything in making it look even and "skinny". But they are super comfy which is a plus.
My shirt is from Pacsun. And I've had it for over a year, and this is my first time wearing it o.O oops.

This morning has been filled with snuggles, oatmeal, and a sleepy baby girl, who is currently sleeping on the couch.
How sweet. All snuggled up with her blankey, that she loves so much!

Okay, onward to the makeup.

Here is me, as I'm applying my war paint. Haha
I just apply the foundation with my fingers usually, but today I wanted a more full coverage look so I used the Real Techniques Buffing Brush and in a circular motion brushed it on.

Then I took my ELF contouring brush and applied the Wet N Wild Blusher in Heather Silk on the apples of my cheeks. And using the same brush I applied the Maybelline Shimmer Powder on my cheek bones and down my nose just to give a little glow to my face.

After, I took the Bare Minerals Brush and applied just a tiny bit of the Cover FX Powder and put that over top it all. The powder gives me just a brightening look. And also with that same brush I took the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and put that on my nose and around my mouth, where I tend to get oily.

Then on my eyebrows I took the Revlon ColorStay eyeshadow and took the 2nd color down and just filled my eyebrows in a bit.

Wet N Wild Pallet, I took the color 2nd down on the left and applied all over eyelid, then took the 3rd color down on the left for my crease.

Applied my Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss.
Curled eyelashes, applied mascara! BAM!
Such an easy look and took really no effort. You can substitute and change any products you would like to get the desired look!

Out in better lighting.

xoxo
Enjoy!
